Join me at the Women’s Institute on September 10th at 1 p.m for a limited enrollment workshop, Start at the Beginning, where you will learn tech basics correctly, from the beginning. You will learn such basics as the differences between Wi-Fi and cellular, and get a clear picture of the technology in your own home. We will explain the different wires you use, and what they are for. You will also learn tricks to work with your smartphone and tablets and best practices when using the touch screen and swiping gestures . You will learn about apps, what they are, how to download them and more. You will learn the basics of using the Internet safely. You will learn important email/texting basics like cut and paste and learn how to create and use a spreadsheet. You will understand the Cloud, how to upload to the Cloud, and how to work with apps in the Cloud such as Dropbox and Google Drive. You will understand social media, and how people use the most popular applications. All questions will be welcome, and everyone will have a hand’s on experience in this workshop with personal guidance. during exercises.
